| This is a copy of the first newsletter, which took issue with poor infrastructure. In December 2008 TU compiled a petition to compel the local municipality to repair the road leading to the Manguzi hospital, after a child from a near-by primary school was hit by a vehicle which were swerving to avoid a pot hole in the road.. |

The other side of the newsletter was used to introduce the Community Home Based Care volunteers, who also distribute the newsletters. Volunteers were asked to complete their names at the right hand bottom corner. The newsletter gave the Community Home Based Care volunteers some social status. They then became referral partners for other TU services. |
