We are inspired by the deep care women in the area show towards the the vulnerable.  It is from this inspiration that Makhasethe (Mother Casette) was born.

On this page the community is made aware of fraud committed by the local municipal offices.  Makhasethe, the conscience character, encourages community members to ask their local ward councillors about the current budget, and how it will be spent.  The aim is to encourage community based accountability of government structures.

On this page the metaphor of a soccer goal is used as a way of explaining the need for life goals to young adults, who are encouraged to attend the Life Skills course presented by Tholulwazi Uzivikele.

Makhasete continues to take issue with the hospital road.  Commenting in Zulu that she hopes they remember to construct a pedestrian walk way and traffic calming measures.  Sadly, these were never completed.

On this page, Makhasete introduces the Community Orphan Care programme, what it does and encourages community members to speak to the Community Home Based Care volunteer on how to access the service.  From this referral the volunteer will complete a referral form, handed in at the monthly CHBC Monitoring and Evaluation meeting for action be the programme coordinator of the Orphan Care activities.
